MLM Success is a decision, a few more thoughts

We’ve received a bunch of emails from friends and acquaintances about the previous post. Interestingly enough everybody that has responded has agreed, and let me tell you, in MLM that doesn’t always happen.

So we’re taking a break today to watch Inside the NFL on HBO (we don’t watch a lot of TV, mostly sports) and there’s an interview with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. Romo wasn’t drafted and didn’t play at all for several years but he got his chance in the NFL last year.

A lot of network marketers aren’t highly thought of either, people overlook us sometimes don’t they? Then after a few years, some people hit it big, just like Romo. Tony Romo is the starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys now, but he rode the bench for years. Nobody heard from him a whole lot, just like a lot of people in every network marketing company in the world.

Sometimes we have untapped greatness already on our team but we just have to believe in people and give them a chance to win. The difference between people that do great things, and those that flop when given a chance, is that some people choose to work hard even though it may go unnoticed and unrewarded!

During the interview the Cowboys QB said that if you work hard 2 days a week, and he works hard 5 days a week, that he’ll be better than you. So translate that to your MLM business, some people choose to work 5 hours a week and you choose to work your business 20 hours a week. Who do you think has the greater chance at success?

We get so weird sometimes looking for the key to MLM success and the answer is so very often all around us.

Work hard. Follow competent leadership and do what they did to become successful. Is massive MLM success really that hard, or do we just make it hard?

Chew on that one for a while!

Dedication and Commitment. If Tony Romo hadn’t had those 2 qualities, he either would still be riding the bench or be out of pro football altogether. Also as you said you have to work hard. If you don’t work hard, have dedication and commitment, you likely won’t succeed at any job, especially a home business. As you have said Scott, “To get what you have never had, you have to do what you’ve never done.” That takes the big 3, hard work, dedication, and commitment. Great post.

Dedication, commitment and action! I have heard you make that ststement many times and you know what? I am starting to get it. I have been trying over the years for a satisfying home based business and if it had been for your belief in me, I would have been another loser! Keep up the great things you are doing, not only for me, but for everyone working their home based business.

I have not been in MLM all that long, but the most important thing that I’ve found that works, is what you’ve mentioned in your opening! Making the Decision to work hard. Learn enough about your product, but especially… FOLLOW DIRECTIONS! Do what your successful sponsor tells you to do, be trainable, and stay in contact with them. As we’ve all heard in the past is those that get their starter kit, get up in the AM, & rub it, then rub it again in the evening when they go to bed, and run to the mailbox everyday expecting a check?! If you’re not in contact with your sponsor, learning the business, following directions…then they invariably ride off into the sunset, like the Lone Ranger, never to be heard from again. Keep up the good work, we love ya for what you are doing Scott.

I have been in MLM for 4 year now and I am just now getting the concept of what it is all about. It is making a Decision and sticking to it. Once I realized that, MLM has a new meaning to me on a new level.
I now have an awesome duplicatable system to follow, it may not seem like I am accomplishing any thing fast but I know soon my works will show. Thanks Again Scott and Judith for the time and effort you are putting in to make everyone who want to succeed can do it!!!!!!!!!!
