MLM Training Tip - People quit everything all the time, so why should we be surprised when they quit MLM? The answer is… we shouldn’t!

Received an email yesterday from a person in our business and it said “I’m sorry I’m going to have to quit. I’m just not a salesperson.” This person is down several levels on our team and we never had the opportunity to develop a personal relationship with them.

One of the frustrating things about having a team of thousands of people is that it’s just not possible to get to know everybody. It’s especially hard when so many people come and go in a few weeks or even days!

So who’s fault is it that this person didn’t achieve the success they were after?

#1 It’s their fault. Could somebody please tell me what has happened to personal responsibility? When people get started in MLM if the don’t have immediate success they blame everybody but themselves.

They blame the MLM company…

They blame the product…

They blame their upline…

They never look in the mirror and blame the one person who could have guaranteed their success in this life changing industry.

If they are like most people, from the day they quit, they will say they tried MLM and it didn’t work. As the world famous Yoda once said (think it was “Return of the Jedi”) Do or not do, there is no try!

Now I’m going to have to watch the movie!

Anyway…

Most people never do anything in MLM because they talk to one or two people who reject them and that’s all it takes, THEY ARE DONE!

#2 Their upline is usually at fault too! Not always, but frequently.

If you tell people it’s easy, if you tell them that they’ll be making a fortune in no time, if you tell them that they don’t have to come to meetings or be on webinars, it’s your fault too!

What’s wrong with the truth?

Why are we so afraid to tell people what it’s really going to take to become successful?

Does MLM really work? Well of course it works.

Will you work?

That’s a much better question!

It hurts. But you get over it, and if you really want to become successful in MLM you MUST get over it!

I’m talking about the word “NO”!

Although very people actually teach it, we should love hearing the word no. Work with me here, no, is a good thing. If somebody says no to you, at least you’re talking to people about your MLM business. Do you have any idea how many people don’t ever talk to anybody about their MLM business? The number would floor you! The single biggest reason people fail in MLM is that they never, ever, ever get started.

People are so worried about hearing no, that they are afraid to talk to people. Without getting way too deep, low self esteem destroys more Multi Level Marketers than probably anything else. We’re so worried about what other people say think and do that we never do anything because we are paralyzed by fear.

If you have high self esteem (and there’s nothing wrong with it) you don’t worry about what other people think.

If you’re family is trying to avoidf bankruptcy and foreclosure you don’t worry about what other people think.

The fact is that you’re going to hear a lot more NO’s than you ever will YES, but it doesn’t matter. You don’t need to hear Yes from everybody, you just need to hear yes from some people. You don’t want most of the people that you are trying to beg to be into your business in your business anyway!

Get excited when you hear NO because you are getting that much closer to a yes!

O.K. so maybe that’s going a little too far, but plain old conference calls aren’t good enough for us anymore!

Webinar technology is amazing, and although it isn’t perfect it is vastly superior to a conference call. Like most people I’ve been on a few webinars and always found them to be better than a conference call because I like to see what’s going on. It was an improvement but we never knew how much of an improvement until we hosted our own webinar.

Got an email earlier today asking us if we were going to have our internet marketing training call tonight because the Dallas Cowboys were on TV. They must not read the blog!
